Mark your calendar for June 20, 2026 and start planning a Neighbour Day gathering for you and your Wentworth neighbours. The Wentworth Residents’ Association (WRA) is pleased to offer a new Neighbour Day Subsidy Program to support resident-led block party gatherings within the community of Wentworth.

The WRA is offering up to $250 per event to support up to seven Neighbour Day events in the community. Participation is by application and pre-approval only on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reimbursement will be provided after the event and upon submission of itemized receipts.

Examples of Reimbursable Expenses:

• Food and non-alcoholic beverages
• Disposable plates, cups, napkins, and cutlery
• Basic decorations and signage
• Ice and event-related consumables
• Kids’ activities (games, sidewalk chalk, craft activity supplies)
• Table or chair rentals (basic, non-commercial)

Examples of Non-Reimbursable Expenses:

• Alcohol of any kind
• Personal labor, honorariums or entertainment fees
• Inflatables, rides or high-risk rental equipment
• Permits, insurance or security services
• Items without itemized receipts

Please note that all events are organized and hosted independently by residents. The WRA does not organize, supervise, or assume responsibility for these events. WRA involvement is limited strictly to subsidizing approved expenses.
